Description

The main thing that distinguishes real cinnamon rolls from all other similar ones is the generous soaking of the finished rolls in creamy glaze.

  • Chicken Egg 2 pieces
  • Butter 5 oz
  • Wheat Flour 20 oz
  • Salt ½ spoons
  • Sugar 5 oz
  • Dry yeast 0 oz
  • Brown Sugar 5 oz
  • Ground Cinnamon 3 spoons
  • Semi-soft cream cheese 5 oz
  • Powdered Sugar 5 oz
  • Vanilla extract ½ spoons

Mix half of the flour and the yeast in a mixing bowl. In a small saucepan, combine the milk, 75 grams of butter, white sugar, and 0.5 teaspoon of salt over medium heat, until the temperature reaches 48–120°F.

Add the eggs and milk mixture to the flour mixture and mix with a mixer on low speed for 30 seconds. Then gradually add the remaining flour and knead the dough.

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead it until smooth and elastic, which will take about 5 to 10 minutes. Place the dough in a large greased bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and set it in a warm place for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon.

Roll out the dough into a rectangle approximately 45x50 cm in size. Spread 75 grams of softened butter over the dough and evenly sprinkle with a mixture of sugar and cinnamon.

Tightly roll the dough to form a log approximately 45 cm long. Cut it into twelve equal pieces. Take a baking dish roughly 22x33 cm in size, grease it with butter, and place the rolls tightly in the dish. Cover with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel and set in a warm place to rise for 45 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 390°F and bake the risen rolls in the middle of the oven for about 15 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

While the buns are baking, use a mixer to combine cream cheese, 55 grams of butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until fluffy.

Leave the finished rolls to cool for about 15 minutes.
