Description
Cinnamon-Chocolate Christmas Cookies
Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Brown Sugar 5 oz
- Egg white 2 pieces
- Cocoa Powder 1 tablespoon
- Ground Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Powdered Sugar to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Beat the softened room temperature butter with the sugar using a mixer until fluffy and homogeneous. Add the yolks and beat again.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, mix the flour with cocoa and cinnamon. Add the mixture to the butter mixture and beat until a soft, homogeneous dough forms.
Step 3
Place the prepared dough in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. Preheat the oven to 355°F (mark 5). Lightly grease the baking sheet with butter.
Step 4
Remove the dough from the refrigerator, knead it, and roll it out thinly (to 0.5–1 cm). Cut out shapes of Christmas trees, stars, little people, snowmen, and other symbols of the New Year. Carefully transfer the prepared cookies to the baking sheet (you can use a spatula). Continue until all the dough is used.
Step 5
Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes, watching for doneness through the oven window (to prevent burning). Once ready, leave the cookies on the baking sheet for 1 minute, then transfer them to a rack using a spatula to cool completely.
Step 6
When the cookies are cool, sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
