Description
The total calorie content of the bread is 1700 kcal. This is a great option for diet bread that does not compromise on taste compared to bread from the nearest bakery! *Instead of oat flour, you can use rye or whole grain flour.
Ingredients
- Ground Oats 1½ cups
- Rye Bread 1½ cups
- Apple juice with pulp ½ cup
- Water 1 cup
- Egg white 2 pieces
- Activated Baking Soda 1 teaspoon
- Baking Powder 1 tablespoon
- Cinnamon 1 teaspoon
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Vanillin 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix the oat flour (ground oat groats), baking soda, baking powder, add cinnamon and salt.
Step 2
In another bowl, mix the bran, apple juice, and water.
Step 3
In a third bowl, beat the egg whites with vanillin.
Step 4
While kneading the dough, combine all the ingredients.
Step 5
Place the dough in a non-stick pan and bake the bread for about 1 hour at 180-375°F.
Step 6
*Check with a dry wooden stick by piercing the center of the bread. The bread is ready if the stick comes out dry.
