Cinnamon and Cherry Cookies

Ingredients

  • Sugar 1 cup
  • Egg white 1 piece
  • Butter 10 oz
  • Wheat Flour 3 cups
  • Cherry 10 oz
  • Ground Cinnamon 1 tablespoon
  • Activated Baking Soda ⅓ teaspoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Beat the sugar and egg with a mixer. Add the butter and mix again.

Step 2

Gradually add the flour until the dough becomes thick enough.

Step 3

Sprinkle the table with flour, place the dough on it, and knead the dough by hand (if it is too soft, gradually add a little more flour while kneading).

Step 4

Place the finished dough in the refrigerator for about 15–20 minutes.

Step 5

In the meantime, pit the cherries and cut them in half.

Step 6

Remove the dough from the refrigerator, cut off 1/3, roll it out to a thickness of about 0.5 cm. Cut out cookies using a cookie cutter. Place the remaining dough back in the refrigerator.

Step 7

Place a cherry half in the center of each cookie and sprinkle with cinnamon mixed with sugar.

Step 8

Place on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 355°F for 15 minutes.

Step 9

While the cookies are baking, take the dough out of the refrigerator, cut off half, and repeat step 5.

Step 10

Allow the finished cookies to cool on a paper towel.
