Baking and Desserts • European
Description
For the icing, you will need 450 grams of sugar, 4 teaspoons of egg white powder, 1/3 cup of water, and vanilla. Whip everything thoroughly, adding the ingredients one at a time. If you make the icing in advance, be sure to seal it tightly and store it in the refrigerator, but not for more than a day. Now you know how to delight Santa Claus. With cookies like these, Santa will come riding in on his reindeer!
Ingredients
- Salt ½ g
- Sugar ½ cup
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Vanilla salt to taste
- Creamy frosting to taste
- Wheat Flour 2½ cups
- Butter 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix the flour and salt in a small bowl.
Step 2
Thoroughly beat the butter and sugar in a large bowl using a mixer. Beat well until the mixture is fluffy and light.
Step 3
Add the egg and vanilla. Mix well.
Step 4
Roll out the dough. Divide it into 2 parts. Roll each part with a rolling pin to about 15 cm in diameter. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
Step 5
Preheat the oven well.
Step 6
Take out half of the dough and roll it out to a thickness of about 0.5 cm. If the dough is too soft, wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate again to chill it further.
Step 7
Now you can use cookie cutters to shape the dough.
Step 8
Bake in the oven until golden brown for 10–12 minutes.
Step 9
Cool the cookies on a wire rack.
Step 10
Now show your creativity and demonstrate what you can do, and the icing will help you with that.
