Choux pastry for eclairs
Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 4 pieces
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Salt 1½ g
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Bring 250 ml of water to a boil, add oil and salt, and bring it back to a boil.
Step 2
Add flour to the boiling water, mix well, and cook for 2 minutes.
Step 3
Let the mixture cool slightly.
Step 4
Add one egg, mix well, then add the second egg and mix again. Continue this way until all the eggs are added.
Step 5
Line the baking sheet with parchment paper (or grease it with oil).
Step 6
Using a spoon or a piping bag, shape the dough into tubes measuring 10–11 cm in length.
Step 7
Place in a preheated oven at 355°F and bake until golden brown, about 35–40 minutes. Do not open the oven door during baking.
Step 8
Fill the prepared pastries with cream using a piping bag.
Step 9
You can drizzle the pastries with melted chocolate and sprinkle with shredded coconut.
