Choux Pastries
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 0 oz
- Water 0 fl oz
- Margarine 5 oz
- Chocolate eggs 4 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Pour 1 cup of water into a saucepan (use the same cup to measure the volume of water and flour, fill the cup to the brim) and add the margarine.
Step 2
Place the saucepan on the stove and bring to a boil, waiting for the margarine to melt. Once the water is boiling and the margarine has melted, quickly add the flour and stir rapidly.
Step 3
Let the dough cool. Cool it to a warm state so that the eggs do not curdle when added to the dough. It is better to use medium-sized eggs, as larger eggs can make the dough too runny and it won't rise during baking. Add the eggs and beat until smooth.
Step 4
After adding all the eggs, the dough becomes soft and holds its shape.
Step 5
Rinse the baking sheet (you can line it with parchment paper), there is no need to grease it. Use a spoon to place the dough on the baking sheet. Space the dough out, as it will significantly increase in volume while baking.
Step 6
Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven at 150–340°F (300–340 degrees Fahrenheit) and bake for about 30–35 minutes. When the pastries turn golden, check them with a skewer for doneness.
Step 7
For the filling, use sweetened condensed milk. You can also use jam, jelly, etc., according to your preference.
