Ingredients
- Sugar 1½ cups
- Water ½ cup
- Butter 5 oz
- Condensed Milk 15 oz
- Walnuts 5 oz
- Cocoa Powder 5 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Pour sugar into water and place on the heat.
Step 2
Bring to a boil and cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring.
Step 3
Remove from heat and melt the butter and carob (cocoa) in the hot syrup.
Step 4
Mix thoroughly. Gradually incorporate the powdered milk.
Step 5
Add the chopped walnuts. Knead the mixture and refrigerate for an hour.
Step 6
Then shape the candies into mushroom caps, roll in cocoa (carob), and serve with coffee or tea.
