Chocolate Truffles with Rum and Biscuit Crumbs
Ingredients
- Liquid dark chocolate 10 oz
- Cream (40%) ¼ cup
- Butter 2 tablespoons
- Chocolate Biscuit Base ½ cup
- Dark rum 2 teaspoons
- Chocolate shavings ½ cup
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Line a baking sheet with foil or parchment paper.
Step 2
Crush the biscuits into crumbs.
Step 3
In a saucepan, heat the cream and butter without bringing it to a boil.
Step 4
Chop the chocolate and transfer it to a bowl. Pour in the hot cream and mix well until smooth.
Step 5
Add the crushed biscuits and rum. Refrigerate for about 2 hours until the mixture thickens but does not harden.
Step 6
Shape the chocolate mixture into balls the size of walnuts and roll them in chocolate shavings. Transfer to the prepared baking sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Step 7
Place each truffle in a paper cup and serve.
