Chocolate Tart with Powdered Sugar
Baking and Desserts • European
Description
You will need a 24-centimeter tart pan.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Whole egg 1 piece
- Bittersweet Chocolate 5 oz
- Heavy cream 10 fl oz
- Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
- Powdered Sugar 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 390°F.
Step 2
Grate the softened butter (80 g) or chop it with a knife. Add the flour and, using your hands, mix until crumbly.
Step 3
Beat the egg yolk and knead the dough (5 minutes). The dough should be uneven. Roll the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and set aside for 1 hour.
Step 4
Grease a baking sheet with butter and line it with parchment paper. Press the dough into the pan, covering the bottom and sides, fill it with beans, and bake for 15–20 minutes.
Step 5
For the filling, combine the cream, chocolate broken into small pieces, and butter in a saucepan. Heat, stirring, until the chocolate melts and the mixture is smooth.
Step 6
In a separate bowl, lightly beat the eggs. Pour them into the chocolate mixture while constantly stirring.
Step 7
Pour the filling onto the tart base and bake again for 5–10 minutes. The center should remain slightly underbaked. Let it cool completely, then remove.
Step 8
Serve dusted with powdered sugar.
