Ingredients
- Fermented Milk 1 cup
- Semolina 1 cup
- Dates 5 pieces
- Cocoa Powder 0 oz
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Halva 5 oz
- Clarified Butter 4 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Chop the dates in a blender. Add the semolina to the fermented baked milk and let it sit for about 20 minutes to swell.
Step 2
Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 3
Add cocoa powder and baking powder. Mix well.
Step 4
Add the butter and mix again.
Step 5
Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil and sprinkle the bottom and sides with semolina.
Step 6
Crumble the halva (not too finely). Pour the batter into the dish and sprinkle the halva crumbs on top.
Step 7
Bake until done (about 45 minutes), checking for doneness with a wooden stick.
