Chocolate pudding with whipped cream
Ingredients
- Sugar ½ cup
- Corn Starch 2 tablespoons
- Cocoa Powder 0 oz
- Salt a pinch
- 10% cream 1 cup
- Milk 1 cup
- Bittersweet Chocolate 5 oz
- Vanillin a pinch
- Whipped Cream to taste
- Chocolate shavings to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a saucepan, whisk together sugar, cornstarch, cocoa powder, and salt.
Step 2
Gradually pour in the cream and milk while whisking to avoid lumps.
Step 3
Place the mixture over medium heat and cook without bringing it to a boil. As soon as steam appears, add the chopped chocolate and continue stirring until it melts and the mixture begins to thicken.
Step 4
Remove from heat and add vanillin. Pour the pudding into 4 glasses, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for about 2 hours.
Step 5
Remove the wrap, garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
