Chocolate Peanut Butter Sandwich Cookies
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Cocoa Powder 4 tablespoons
- Baking Powder ¼ teaspoon
- Butter 5 oz
- Ground Oats 2 tablespoons
- Nutella® 2 tablespoons
- Brown Sugar 5 oz
- Honey to taste
- Egg white 1 piece
- Peanut Butter to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
Blend the oats using a blender. Mix the flour, cocoa powder, oats, and baking powder.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, cream the softened butter with the sugar, add Nutella, and mix. Beat in the egg.
Step 4
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and knead the dough. Refrigerate the dough for 15 minutes.
Step 5
Roll small balls from the dough, flatten them with a glass, and place them on the parchment paper spaced apart. Sprinkle with brown sugar if desired. Chill the baking sheet with the cookies for 20–30 minutes.
Step 6
Bake the cookies for 8–10 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
Step 7
For the filling, mix the peanut butter with honey. Spread the filling on one half of the cookie and top with the other half. The sandwich cookie is ready.
