Chocolate Mint Crinkle Cookies
Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Brown Sugar 1½ cups
- Water 2 tablespoons
- Mini Chocolate Chips 5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour 2½ cups
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Activated Baking Soda 1¼ teaspoons
- Mint-Filled Chocolate Candies 36 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter with the sugar and water. Add the chocolate chips and stir until smooth. Remove from heat and continue stirring for a bit. Pour into a large bowl and let cool for about 10 minutes.
Step 2
Then, using a mixer on high speed, beat in the eggs one at a time. Then switch to low speed and add the dry ingredients. Chill the dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 345°F.
Step 4
Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a clean baking sheet, spaced 5 cm apart. Bake in the oven for 8–10 minutes.
Step 5
Meanwhile, cut each candy in half lengthwise.
Step 6
Remove the cookies from the oven and place half a candy on top of each one. Let sit for 5 minutes to melt.
