Chocolate Cream Cake with Strawberries
Ingredients
- Butter 0 oz
- Liquid dark chocolate 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 0 oz
- Large eggs 1 piece
- Baking Powder ½ tablespoon
- Gelatin 3½ pieces
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Vanilla salt 0 oz
- Citrus Zest Mix ½ piece
- Cream (40%) 5 fl oz
- Strawberry 20 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Melt the butter and dissolve the chopped chocolate in it. Beat 60 grams of sugar and the egg, then add the chocolate mixture.
Step 2
Combine the flour with the baking powder and mix into the chocolate-egg mixture. Line a 24 cm diameter baking pan with parchment paper and fill it with the batter.
Step 3
Bake at 390°F for 12–15 minutes. Remove and let cool.
Step 4
Soak the gelatin in water. Heat the milk, zest, vanilla sugar, and 50 grams of regular sugar. Strain the liquid.
Step 5
Squeeze the gelatin and dissolve it in the milk. Let the mixture cool.
Step 6
Whip the cream. Add the whipped cream to the milk that has started to set. Place the sponge cake in a clean mold, spread the cream mixture on top, smooth it out, and refrigerate to set for about 3–4 hours.
Step 7
Slice the strawberries and decorate the cake. Cover the berries with cake glaze (prepare according to the package instructions or make it yourself: boil clear juice, such as apple juice, with cornstarch (2 tablespoons of cornstarch for 250 ml of juice). Let cool.
