Chocolate Cookies with Coffee
Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Egg white 1 piece
- Chocolate 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Instant coffee 2 teaspoons
- Cocoa Powder 4 tablespoons
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Salt a pinch
- Powdered Sugar to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Using a mixer, beat the softened butter with sugar, add the egg and beat again.
Step 2
Add the melted chocolate to this mixture and beat.
Step 3
Mix the flour, coffee (dry), cocoa, baking powder, and salt. You can use less flour (100 g). Then the dough will be thinner, and the cookies will spread more during baking.
Step 4
Combine the wet and dry mixtures. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and place it in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Step 5
Then tear off pieces of dough and roll them into balls the size of a walnut. Coat each ball generously in powdered sugar.
Step 6
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the cookies 5 cm apart.
Step 7
Bake at 355°F for 13–15 minutes, no more, to avoid drying them out.
