Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Muscovado Sugar 5 oz
- Egg white 1 piece
- Cocoa Powder 0 oz
- Bittersweet Chocolate 0 oz
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Vanilla salt 1 tablespoon
- Small Caramels 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix all the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
Step 2
Melt the chocolate in a water bath.
Step 3
Beat the softened butter with the muscovado sugar and vanilla sugar, add the melted chocolate, and mix. Add the egg. Beat the mixture until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Step 4
Combine the flour mixture and the butter mixture until homogeneous. Do not knead the dough for too long! Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. From the chilled dough, roll into a log and cut it into evenly sized segments. Place 1 caramel inside each piece and roll the cookie into a ball.
Step 5
Bake in a preheated oven at 355°F for 10–12 minutes.
