Ingredients
- Water 10 fl oz
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Sugar 0 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Lemon-Pepper Mix 0 fl oz
- Wheat Flour 20 oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Liquid dark chocolate 5 oz
- Desiccated coconut 0 oz
- Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a separate bowl, dissolve the yeast in half of the water.
Step 2
In another bowl, dissolve the salt and sugar in the remaining water. Gradually add the egg and lemon extract, flour, and butter.
Step 3
Knead the dough for about 8 minutes. Let it rise for 30 minutes. Punch down the dough to release air and stop fermentation. Let it rise for another 10 minutes. Use a cookie cutter to cut out circles with a diameter of 7.5 cm. Transfer the donuts to a lightly floured baking sheet. Place in a warm, covered area for 30 minutes.
Step 4
Heat the oil to 400°F. Fry the donuts. Cool them down. Dip one side of the donuts in melted chocolate. Sprinkle with shredded coconut.
