Chocolate cake with sour cream frosting
Ingredients
- 1% Kefir ½ l
- Wheat Flour 2 glasses
- Sugar 2 glasses
- Chicken Egg 2 pieces
- Activated Baking Soda 1 tablespoon
- Cocoa Powder 8 teaspoons
- 20% Sour Cream 10 oz
- Powdered Sugar 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 345°F.
Step 2
Mix the kefir with baking soda and gently heat it on the stove or in the microwave.
Step 3
Beat the eggs with the sugar and incorporate them into the kefir mixture.
Step 4
Add the sifted flour and cocoa powder. Whisk well.
Step 5
Pour a portion of the batter into a 25 cm diameter pan to form a layer about 2–3 cm thick, and bake for 15–20 minutes (check for doneness with a toothpick). You should end up with 8 layers.
Step 6
For the cream, whip the sour cream with powdered sugar and spread it over all the layers.
Step 7
You can use cocoa powder and whipped cream for decoration.
