Ingredients
- Cocoa Powder 1 cup
- Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour 2 cups
- Kefir 1 cup
- Salt a pinch
- Sugar 2 cups
- Melted Cheese ½ cup
- Vanilla salt 1 tablespoon
- Activated Baking Soda 1½ teaspoons
- Ground Coffee 5 oz
- Bittersweet Chocolate 5 oz
- 10% cream 5 fl oz
- Cognac 0 oz
- Orange zest 1 tablespoon
- Orange juice concentrate 3 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F. Grease two baking pans with butter.
Step 2
Mix sugar, flour, cocoa powder, kefir, baking soda, and salt with a mixer.
Step 3
Add eggs, softened butter, and vanilla.
Step 4
Mix with the mixer for a couple of minutes on low speed. Pour in hot coffee and mix again.
Step 5
Pour into the pans and bake for 35 minutes (a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake should come out clean).
Step 6
Melt the chocolate with the cream, stirring constantly. Add cognac, zest, and orange juice. Cook until thickened. Pour over the cake. Place in the refrigerator for 4–5 hours.
