Description
Chocolate brownies with bacon and bourbon
Ingredients
- Bacon 5 oz
- Pecan 0 oz
- Bittersweet Chocolate 5 oz
- Liquid dark chocolate 0 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Brown Sugar 5 oz
- Bourbon 2 spoons
- Chicken Egg 2 pieces
- Ocean salt 2 spoons
- Cocoa Powder 2 spoons
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Fry all the bacon except for three pieces in a skillet until golden brown. Transfer the cooked bacon to paper towels, and drain the fat from the skillet, as you will need it later.
Step 2
Finely chop the cooked bacon and pecans.
Step 3
In a mixing bowl, beat together two types of sugar, 2 tablespoons of bacon fat, bourbon, eggs, and salt. Gradually add the sifted flour with cocoa and mix until smooth.
Step 4
Transfer the dough to a baking dish lined with parchment paper, sprinkle with bacon and pecans. Bake for 40 minutes in an oven preheated to 355°F.
Step 5
Place the bacon in the oven with the brownies to render the fat. This will take 20-30 minutes.
Step 6
Melt the chocolate over low heat, then add the butter. Dip the cooked bacon in the chocolate, place it on paper towels, and refrigerate for about 15 minutes.
Step 7
Remove the finished brownies from the oven and let them cool. Serve with chocolate-covered bacon slices.
