Chocolate Biscuit Cake with Cherry
Ingredients
- Sugar 1½ cups
- Egg white 4 pieces
- Vanilla salt 0 oz
- Wheat Flour 1 cup
- Cherry 5 oz
- Condensed Milk 1 can
- Butter 5 oz
- Sour Cream 5 oz
- Cocoa Powder 5 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
For the biscuit, separate the egg whites from the yolks. To the yolks, add vanilla sugar, 0.5 cups of sugar, flour, and 3 tablespoons of cocoa. Whip the egg whites. Once a thick white mass forms, gradually add 0.5 cups of sugar. Continue whipping until the egg whites are fully thickened. Combine both mixtures, being very careful to avoid deflating the egg whites. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and place it in an oven preheated to 355°F (356 degrees Fahrenheit) for 35–40 minutes. Remove and let cool.
Step 2
For the filling, heat 100 grams of butter, add the condensed milk and cherries. Cut the biscuit into two layers, leaving a layer that is 1.5 cm thick. Crumble the second layer into large pieces and mix it into the filling. Gently combine and spread the filling on the biscuit layer.
Step 3
For the glaze, heat the sour cream and butter together with the remaining sugar and cocoa until the sugar is completely dissolved. The mixture should be thick. You can also add a bit more condensed milk. Pour the resulting mixture over the cake.
Step 4
After that, place the cake in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.
