Ingredients
- Farm fresh eggs 4 pieces
- Safflower Oil 10 fl oz
- Brown Sugar 15 oz
- Vanilla extract 0 fl oz
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Cocoa Powder 0 oz
- Salt 0 oz
- Beetroot 20 oz
- Activated Baking Soda 0 oz
- Liquid dark chocolate 5 oz
- Cream 0 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F. Grease a cake pan with oil.
Step 2
Whisk the eggs, sugar, and oil well. Add the vanilla extract.
Step 3
Sift the flour, cocoa, salt, and baking soda, and gradually fold into the egg mixture.
Step 4
Boil the beetroot until soft and puree it. Mix it with the batter. Transfer the batter to the pan and bake for 1 hour 15 minutes.
Step 5
Transfer the cake to a plate and let it cool.
Step 6
Melt the chocolate and cream in a double boiler until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool until thickened. Drizzle the chocolate over the cake before serving.
