Chocolate Apples
Ingredients
- Apple 12 pieces
- Margarine 5 oz
- Chocolate 2 pieces
- Sugar 2 cups
- Light Corn Syrup 1 cup
- Condensed Milk 1 can
- Vanilla salt 1 teaspoon
- Peanut Sprouts 10 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Remove the stems from the apples and insert popsicle sticks.
Step 2
In a saucepan over low heat, melt the margarine and chocolate. Add the sugar, syrup, and milk, stirring well. Keep the mixture over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the thermometer reads 120°C (soft ball stage).
Step 3
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla. Dip the apples in the chocolate, coating them evenly and allowing excess chocolate to drip off. Sprinkle the apple with chopped peanuts, then place on parchment paper to cool for 30 minutes.
Step 4
Before serving, wrap each apple in parchment paper and tie with a ribbon.
