
Chinese Hot and Sour Soup with Tofu

Ingredients
- Chicken Broth 0 qt
- Pork Blood 5 oz
- Herbed Tofu 5 oz
- Dried Chinese mushrooms 0 oz
- Oyster Mushrooms 5 oz
- Potato 1 piece
- Carrot 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Scallions 3 stalks
- Rice Vinegar for Sushi 6 tablespoons
- White Pepper (whole) 1 teaspoon
- Corn Starch 1 tablespoon
- Sesame Oil 1 teaspoon
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cut the pork into strips, and the tofu into cubes. Soak the dried mushrooms in boiling water, and when they swell, gently squeeze and finely chop them. Cut the oyster mushrooms, carrot, and tomato into strips as well. Beat the egg in a separate bowl.
Step 2
Bring the broth to a boil.
Step 3
Add the pork, stir, bring to a boil, and then quickly add the tofu, all the mushrooms, carrot, and tomato.
Step 4
Then mix the cornstarch with 4 tablespoons of water in a bowl, and when everything boils, pour it into the pot and stir.
Step 5
Add salt.
Step 6
Pour in 3 tablespoons of vinegar and stir.
Step 7
Whirl the boiling soup and pour in the beaten egg in a thin stream.
Step 8
Stir and add white pepper, then add the remaining vinegar and stir again.
Step 9
Then pour in the sesame oil and stir again, adding the chopped green onion.
Step 10
Serve hot.
