Ingredients
- Star anise 2 pieces
- Water 0 qt
- Skin-On Chicken Breasts 3 pieces
- Shallot 1 piece
- Garlic 1 clove
- Grated Ginger Root 0 oz
- Soy Sauce 2 tablespoons
- Soy Sauce 1 tablespoon
- Fish Oil 1 teaspoon
- Brown Sugar 1 teaspoon
- Cinnamon 2 pieces
- Green peppercorns 5 pieces
- Apple Wine 1 tablespoon
- Ground clove 3 pieces
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Combine water with shallot, garlic, ginger, rice wine, sauces, sugar, and spices in a pot. Bring to a boil over low heat.
Step 2
Add chicken breast to the water, bring to a boil again, and cook over medium heat for one hour.
Step 3
Place one chicken breast in each bowl. Strain the broth and add it to the chicken. If desired, complement the soup with rice, noodles, fresh herbs, and vegetables.
