Description

Chewy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Ingredients

  • Butter 5 oz
  • Brown Sugar 5 oz
  • Ground Oats 10 oz
  • Sugar 5 oz
  • Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
  • Wheat Flour 5 oz
  • Ocean salt ½ teaspoon
  • Light Raisins, Seedless 5 oz
  • Baking Powder ½ teaspoon
  • Ground Nutmeg ½ teaspoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Mix the flour, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt.

Step 2

In a separate bowl, beat the softened but not warm butter, add both sugars, and beat until fluffy, about 3 minutes.

Step 3

Add the eggs one at a time.

Step 4

Stir in the flour mixture, then add the oats and raisins.

Step 5

Roll the dough into 18 balls, each about 5 cm in diameter (about 2 tablespoons). Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Step 6

Bake at 355°F for 22–25 minutes, until the edges are golden brown. It is important not to overbake; otherwise, the cookies will not be chewy. The center should remain very light.
