Cherry Sponge Cake
Ingredients
- Cherry 10 oz
- Sour Cream 5 tablespoons
- Sugar 5 oz
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form, add sugar and egg yolks, continuing to whip. Gradually add the flour and mix. Add the sour cream and mix again.
Step 2
Pour the batter into a baking pan (I used a springform pan) and place the dried cherries on top, gently pressing them into the batter.
Step 3
Bake in a preheated oven at 390°F for about 20–30 minutes.
Step 4
When the cake rises and sets slightly, remove it and pour the topping over it. Don't be alarmed if some bumps form.
Step 5
Check for doneness with a wooden stick.
