Cherry Jelly with Croutons
Ingredients
- Cherry 0 lbs
- Sugar 2 cups
- Gelatin 1 tablespoon
- Croutons 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 2 tablespoons
- Chicken Egg 5 pieces
- Milk 2 cups
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Soak the gelatin.
Step 2
Pit the cherries and boil them in 1 liter of water with 1 cup of sugar. Remove the berries, and pour the swollen gelatin into the syrup. Bring to a boil and remove from heat. Stir in the croutons and cool.
Step 3
Layer the jelly-like mixture in a mold, alternating with cherries. Place in the refrigerator to set the dessert.
Step 4
Cover the finished dessert with cream. To make the cream, beat the eggs with sugar, add flour, and while constantly stirring, gradually pour in hot milk. Place the resulting mixture over heat and cook, stirring, until thickened.
