Description
For decoration, you can use fresh cherries or candied ones. Cherries can be substituted with sweet cherries.
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Vanilla salt 0 oz
- Powdered Sugar 5 oz
- Chocolate eggs 2 pieces
- Salt to taste
- Butter 5 oz
- Citrus Zest Mix 1 piece
- Marinated cherries 5 oz
- Sugar to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Sift the flour, pour half onto a cutting board in a mound, make a well in the center, and add the powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, grated zest of one lemon, and two egg yolks. Knead into a thick dough.
Step 2
Cut the butter into cubes, add it to the dough, sprinkle in the remaining flour, and knead until smooth. If the dough sticks to your hands, refrigerate for ten minutes.
Step 3
Roll out the dough thinly and cut out hearts with cookie cutters. Place the raw cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush the dough with milk.
Step 4
Cut the cherries in half and place them cut side down on the center of the cookies. Place the baking sheet in a preheated oven at 355°F and bake for no more than ten minutes. Sprinkle the hot cookies with sugar once ready.
