Baking and Desserts • World
Description
Instead of cherries, you can use any other berry or fruit, and then the dish is called 'flognarde', which will be just as delicious.
Ingredients
- Marinated cherries 10 oz
- Wheat Flour 5 tablespoons
- Farm fresh eggs 3 pieces
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Cream 22% 5 fl oz
- Sugar 5 tablespoons
- Salt a pinch
- Vegetable Oil to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180–390°F.
Step 2
Line the bottom of a baking dish with parchment paper and grease it with oil. Place the well-washed cherries in the prepared dish so that they almost completely cover the bottom, and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of sugar on top.
Step 3
Whisk the eggs, flour, sugar, and salt together; then add the milk and cream, mixing thoroughly to avoid lumps.
Step 4
Pour the prepared mixture over the cherries in the dish. Bake in the oven for forty to fifty minutes until a beautiful golden crust forms.
