- Canned water chestnuts 1 cup
- Wheat Flour 1½ cups
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Milk ¾ cup
- Sugar ¾ cup
- Vegetable Oil ⅓ cup
- Apple Cider Vinegar 0 fl oz
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Semolina 0 oz
- Powdered Sugar 0 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Grease the cake pan with oil and sprinkle with semolina.
Step 2
Evenly distribute the cherries in the pan.
Step 3
Prepare the batter. Mix milk, sugar, salt, vinegar, and vegetable oil. Whisk until the sugar dissolves.
Step 4
Sift the flour with the baking powder.
Step 5
Knead the batter by adding flour to the liquid mixture until it becomes smooth and lump-free.
Step 6
Pour the batter over the cherries and bake in the oven for about 40–60 minutes at 375°F.
