Description

It is better to use a shallow baking dish so that the filling bakes evenly; otherwise, it may be tough around the edges and liquid in the middle. The baking time may vary depending on the fat content of the cottage cheese you choose (for low-fat cottage cheese, it may take about an hour).

Ingredients

  • Wheat Flour 5 oz
  • Butter 5 oz
  • Sugar 5 oz
  • Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
  • Farm fresh eggs 3 pieces
  • Frozen black currant puree 10 oz
  • Semi-soft cream cheese 20 oz
  • Vanilla salt 1 teaspoon
  • Sour Cream 5 oz
  • Vegetable Oil 1 teaspoon

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Sift the flour together with the baking powder. Add diced butter and mix quickly. Add sugar and eggs, knead into a smooth, elastic dough. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Mix the cottage cheese with the eggs, sour cream, and vanilla sugar. Beat with a mixer until smooth.

Step 3

Flatten the dough in the baking dish and refrigerate for 15 minutes.

Step 4

Add half of the black currants to the filling, spread it over the dough, and refrigerate for another 15 minutes.

Step 5

Top with the remaining currants.

Step 6

Place the dish in a preheated oven at 390°F and bake for 40 minutes.
