Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Ricotta cheese 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 1 cup
- Salt ¼ teaspoon
- Chicken Egg 1 piece
- Brown Sugar ¾ cup
- Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
- Chopped almonds 0 oz
- Cherries in Liqueur to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a bowl, beat the ricotta and softened butter, reserving 1 tablespoon. Then mix in the flour and salt. Chill the dough for 1 hour.
Step 2
Next, shape the dough into small balls (about 2.5–3 cm in diameter) and press each one into small muffin tins with your fingers.
Step 3
For the filling, beat the egg in a bowl. Add the brown sugar, reserved butter, and vanilla. Mix well, adding the nuts.
Step 4
Fill the muffin tins with the filling and bake at 375°F for 25–30 minutes.
Step 5
Cool and decorate with cherries.
