Cheese Soup in a Pumpkin
Ingredients
- Pumpkin 1 piece
- Gruyère cheese 5 oz
- Croutons 5 oz
- Chicken Broth 0 qt
- Salt to taste
- Cream 5 fl oz
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Vegetable Oil 1 tablespoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Take a whole medium-sized pumpkin (6-7 kg), cut off the top, and remove the seeds and fibers.
Step 2
Grease the inside of the pumpkin with vegetable oil.
Step 3
Layer grated Gruyère cheese and croutons alternately in the bottom of the pumpkin. Sprinkle salt and pepper on the last layer.
Step 4
Pour the broth into the pumpkin.
Step 5
Grease the outside of the pumpkin with vegetable oil, cover it with the top, and place it in a preheated oven (345°F) for 1 hour.
Step 6
It is customary to serve the soup in the pumpkin.
Step 7
Cream can be added to taste directly in the bowls.
