Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Baking Powder 2 teaspoons
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Sugar 1 teaspoon
- Activated Baking Soda ½ teaspoon
- Butter 0 oz
- Cheese Spread 15 oz
- Kefir 10 fl oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Mix the dry ingredients, then add the cold butter and cut it into the flour with a knife until it resembles crumbs.
Step 2
Add grated cheese and mix well.
Step 3
Pour in the kefir and knead the dough. Do not knead for too long, just lightly, otherwise it may not rise. The dough will be sticky, so sprinkle the work surface with flour while working with it.
Step 4
Roll out the dough to a thickness of 2 cm and cut out circles with a cookie cutter. Transfer the circles to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Place the scones with space between them, as they will expand in size. Brush the tops with melted butter.
Step 5
Bake at 375°F for about 20–30 minutes until golden brown.
