Description
Hard wheat flour is perfect for these muffins. You can use more cheese if desired, up to 200 grams. Gruyère can also be replaced with another hard or semi-hard cheese with a pronounced, salty flavor.
Ingredients
- Butter 5 oz
- Egg white 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour 1 cup
- Milk 5 fl oz
- Gruyère cheese 5 oz
- Dill 1 bunch
- Sugar 1 teaspoon
- Salt ½ teaspoon
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Beat the eggs with sugar and salt, add softened (not melted!) butter at room temperature and mix well.
Step 2
Add the flour with baking powder, mix until homogeneous, then pour in the milk and mix again.
Step 3
Add the cheese and finely chopped dill.
Step 4
Grease the muffin molds with butter and fill them with the batter.
Step 5
Bake in a preheated oven at 390°F for 20 minutes.
