Ingredients
- Margarine 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 1 cup
- Sugar 5 oz
- Vanilla salt 1 teaspoon
- Baking Powder 1 teaspoon
- Cottage cheese 15 oz
- Sour Cream 5 oz
- Chocolate eggs 4 pieces
- Powdered Sugar 5 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
For the dough: sift the flour with the baking powder, add 2 tablespoons of sugar and half a teaspoon of vanilla sugar.
Step 2
Cut the margarine into cubes, add it to the flour mixture, and rub it with your hands until crumbly.
Step 3
Beat in the egg and knead into a smooth dough. Wrap it in plastic wrap and leave it in the refrigerator for 30-40 minutes.
Step 4
Prepare the filling: mix the cottage cheese, sour cream, 3 egg yolks, and the remaining vanilla and regular sugar, and beat well with a mixer. If the cottage cheese is lumpy, blend the mixture in a blender.
Step 5
Grease a 23-25 cm springform pan with butter and dust with flour. Remove the dough from the refrigerator, shape it into a round disc, lightly dust it with flour, place it in the pan, and spread it evenly across the bottom.
Step 6
Pour in the filling and smooth it out with a spoon. Bake for about an hour at 160-180°C until the cheese mixture is set.
Step 7
While the pie is baking, make the meringue: whip the egg whites to stiff peaks, add the powdered sugar, and whip again until well combined.
Step 8
Remove the pie from the oven, spread the meringue over the cheese layer, smooth it out with a spoon, and create random patterns. Bake for another 20 minutes until golden.
Step 9
Remove from the oven, let the pie cool completely in a cool place (drops will appear on the meringue), and only then can it be sliced.
