Cheese Crackers with Wasabi
Ingredients
- Wheat Flour 1 cup
- Salt a pinch
- Butter 4 tablespoons
- Water 3 tablespoons
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese 10 oz
- Wasabi 2 tablespoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
In a food processor, blend the flour, salt, and butter until crumbly. Add the grated cheese. Mix the wasabi with 1–2 tablespoons of water and add this mixture to the dough.
Step 2
Knead the dough and wrap it in plastic wrap. Place it in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 3 mm. Cut out small crackers in any desired shape.
Step 3
Preheat the oven to 355°F. Place the crackers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15–20 minutes until golden brown. Let cool. If the wasabi flavor is not strong enough, mix the crackers with dry wasabi powder or serve with the paste.
