Description

A symbol of road trip romance—chebureki, and few things compare to the delight of a hot and juicy cheburek enjoyed at a roadside diner. Chebureki are not only quickly devoured, but they are also quick to prepare—our recipe will help you understand how to make them. For the filling, you can use not only lamb mince but also chicken, as well as cheese, mashed potatoes, or herbs.

  • Wheat Flour 20 oz
  • Water 10 fl oz
  • Pork Mince 15 oz
  • Onion 2 heads
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper to taste
  • Vegetable Oil 25 fl oz

Prepare all the ingredients.

Sift the flour, add 1 teaspoon of salt, create a well in the center, pour in the water, and knead into a smooth, elastic dough.

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest for 20–30 minutes.

Chop the onion into small cubes, sprinkle with a little salt, and mash it gently to release its juices.

Add the minced meat to the onion, along with a bit of water, and season with salt and pepper. The mixture should be slightly runny.

Divide the dough into equal parts, roll them into balls, and dust with flour.

Roll out one ball of dough into a thin pancake.

Place 1 tablespoon of filling on one half of the pancake, cover it with the other half, and seal the edges, making sure to leave no air inside. You can trim the edges of the dough with a decorative knife.
