Charoset with Apples, Pears, and Toasted Walnuts
Ingredients
- Walnuts 5 oz
- Green Apples 1 piece
- Red Grape Juice 3 tablespoons
- Asian Pear 1 piece
- Honey 2 tablespoons
- Orange zest 1 teaspoon
- Ground Cinnamon ¾ teaspoon
- Fresh Mint to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Place the walnuts in a small skillet and set over medium heat. Toast, stirring, for about 5 minutes until the nuts are golden brown. Cool and chop coarsely. Transfer to a bowl.
Step 2
Peel the apple and pear. Cut in half and remove the seeds. Dice everything into small cubes.
Step 3
In the bowl with the walnuts, add the apple and pear, wine, honey, orange zest, and cinnamon. Mix well and add more honey if desired.
Step 4
Sprinkle with finely chopped mint and serve.
