  • Sugar 5 oz
  • Lemon 1 piece
  • Cinnamon a pinch
  • Honey 3 spoons
  • Butter 5 oz
  • Ginger 0 oz

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1

Peel the carrot and grate it using a coarse grater, while grating the ginger on a fine grater.

Step 2

In a deep saucepan, melt the butter, add the sugar, and heat until the sugar starts to caramelize, bubbling up with a light brown color.

Step 3

Then add the carrot and ginger to the saucepan and sauté them in the caramel, stirring constantly, for ten minutes. Add the lemon juice, cinnamon, and honey, and cook for another five minutes.

Coarsely chop the baguette, place the pieces in a blender, and blend until you achieve breadcrumbs.

Step 5

Transfer the carrots to a baking dish, sprinkle them with breadcrumbs, and place in an oven preheated to 355°F for fifteen minutes.
