Carrot Cake with Chocolate Sauce
Ingredients
- Egg white 2 pieces
- Sugar 1 cup
- Wheat Flour 1 cup
- Ground Cinnamon 2 teaspoons
- Butter 1 tablespoon
- Mascarpone Cheese Unagrande 5 oz
- Carrot 10 oz
- Liquid dark chocolate 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 355°F.
Step 2
Beat the eggs with a mixer, then add a cup of finely grated raw carrot.
Step 3
Mix the sugar, flour, cinnamon, and baking powder with a whisk.
Step 4
Incorporate the dry ingredients into the carrot-egg mixture.
Step 5
Once the batter is smooth, pour it into a baking dish greased with butter.
Step 6
Place in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes and check for doneness with a wooden stick (it should come out clean after piercing the center of the cake).
Step 7
When the cake is baked, turn off the heat but do not remove the dish from the cooling oven for another 15–20 minutes.
Step 8
For the sauce, melt half a bar of dark chocolate in a water bath and gradually fold in the mascarpone with a spatula.
Step 9
Release the cooled cake from the dish and pour the sauce over it.
