
Caramelized Oranges in Chocolate

Description
It is better to use medium-sized oranges if possible.
Ingredients
- Oranges 0 lbs
- Brown Sugar 15 oz
- Water 5 fl oz
- Chocolate 5 oz
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Slice the fruit into circles 0.5 cm wide.
Step 2
Take a deep skillet, sprinkle brown sugar on the bottom, and layer the oranges. Repeat the process: layer of sugar and layer of oranges. Finish with a layer of sugar.
Step 3
Pour water over it.
Step 4
Simmer covered on low heat for 2 hours. Add more water if necessary. These oranges are perfect with tea and can be stored for a long time. Honey can be used instead of sugar.
Step 5
Melt the chocolate in a water bath.
Step 6
Dip the cooled oranges in the melted chocolate.
Step 7
Place them on foil and refrigerate until the chocolate is completely set.
