Caramel Apples on Sticks
Ingredients
- Sugar 8 tablespoons
- Apple 5 pieces
- Water 2 tablespoons
- Red Food Coloring to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Cook the sugar with water over low heat until it becomes transparent (a drop of syrup should instantly harden in cold water), then add a pinch of citric acid (be careful not to add too much) and food coloring.
Step 2
Insert sticks into the apples.
Step 3
Dip the apples in the caramel. Place them on parchment paper greased with butter.
Step 4
Allow them to harden.
Step 5
You can decorate with shredded coconut or colorful sprinkles, etc.
