Description
I use store-bought fondant. I prepare the cake layer in one day, the cream the next morning, and in the evening, after the cake has set, I cover it with fondant. This cake is for adults.
Ingredients
- Condensed Milk 1 can
- Baking Powder 1½ teaspoons
- Sugar 2 tablespoons
- Instant coffee ¾ cup
- Salt ¼ teaspoon
- Cocoa Powder 3 tablespoons
- Corn Starch 1½ tablespoons
- Vanilla salt 2 teaspoons
- 10% cream 1½ cups
- Liquid dark chocolate 5 oz
- Chocolate eggs 5 pieces
- Fondant 25 oz
- Wheat Flour 1 cup
- Butter 3 tablespoons
- Jam ½ cup
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Whisk the eggs with a pinch of salt and sugar, add the condensed milk, flour, cocoa, and baking powder. Bake for 20–30 minutes on a large flat baking sheet at 390°F.
Step 2
In a small saucepan, mix cocoa powder, sugar (to taste), and cornstarch. Add coffee, chocolate, and butter. Heat over medium heat, stirring, until boiling; cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add vanilla sugar. Place in the refrigerator for 2 hours (I put it in the freezer for about 15 minutes).
Step 3
Heat the cream until boiling. Add chocolate and stir until dissolved. Transfer to a bowl, cool, and place in the refrigerator for 2 hours (again, I put it in the freezer for about 15 minutes). Whip the cream with a mixer until soft peaks form.
Step 4
Cut the cake layer into rectangles, then cut them in half again, and do the same with smaller rectangles (total — 4 larger and 4 smaller rectangles). Stack them on top of each other, spreading the creams in the following order: cake — chocolate filling — cake — jam — cream — cake — chocolate filling — cake — cream.
Step 5
Cover the top and sides of the cake with the remaining cream, place in the refrigerator for a long time. Once the cream has set, smooth it out with a spatula, cover with fondant, and decorate.
