Cantucci with Almonds
Ingredients
- Chopped almonds 5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 3 pieces
- Wheat Flour 10 oz
- Sugar 5 oz
- Dry yeast 0 oz
- Baking Powder 0 oz
- Salt a pinch
- Cinnamon ½ teaspoon
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Beat the eggs with salt.
Step 2
Add yeast, baking powder, and cinnamon, and mix.
Step 3
Add sugar and beat.
Step 4
Add almonds and mix.
Step 5
Add flour and knead the dough.
Step 6
On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, shape the dough into thin logs and bake for about 20 minutes at 355°F.
Step 7
Remove the dough from the oven, cut into slices, and bake for another 5–7 minutes.
Step 8
When serving, you can sprinkle with powdered sugar.
