Cake Pops
Ingredients
- Sugar 5 oz
- Butter 5 oz
- Farm fresh eggs 2 pieces
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Natural Yogurt 5 oz
- Mascarpone Cheese Unagrande 5 oz
- Chocolate 5 oz
- Powdered Sugar 5 oz
- 10% cream 5 fl oz
- Baking Powder 1½ teaspoons
- Nuts to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Prepare the batter. Preheat the oven to 355°F. Mix the butter with sugar and beat until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes). Add the eggs one at a time and mix again. Combine all dry ingredients (flour, baking powder) and gradually add them to the egg-butter mixture. Pour in the yogurt and mix everything thoroughly. Pour the finished batter into a baking pan and bake for about 20–25 minutes.
Step 2
Remove the sponge cake from the pan and let it cool. Trim the edges off the sponge cake and crumble it into a bowl with your hands (the crumbs should be fine).
Step 3
Prepare the cream. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese with powdered sugar. Mix the prepared cream with the sponge cake crumbs. Add the cream one spoonful at a time until the mixture becomes 'sticky'. Place the resulting mixture in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to firm up.
Step 4
Take the mixture out of the refrigerator and form even balls with your hands. To ensure the pastries are the same size, you can scoop the mixture using an ice cream scoop. Place the finished balls in the freezer for 30 minutes.
Step 5
Prepare the ganache. Break the chocolate into small pieces and place it in a bowl. Bring the cream to a boil in a saucepan, remove from heat, and pour it over the chocolate. Stir gently. The chocolate ganache should be quite liquid.
Step 6
Prepare decorations for the cake pops. Nuts or sprinkles, coconut flakes will work well for this purpose.
Step 7
Take the balls out of the freezer and dip each cake pop stick into the chocolate, then insert it into the center of the balls. Place the balls in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Step 8
Coat the cake pops in chocolate. To do this, hold the ball by the stick, dip it vertically into the chocolate, and pull it out sharply. Hold it in the air to let the excess chocolate drip off. Place it on a plate and decorate with sprinkles on top.
Step 9
The finished cake pops should be placed in the freezer for about 30 minutes. Then they can be served.
