
Cabbage Pie

Description
If the cabbage is young, you don’t need to sauté it; just chop it and add some salt.
Ingredients
- White Cabbage 20 oz
- Onion 1 head
- Scallions 0 oz
- Chicken Egg 3 pieces
- Sour Cream 5 oz
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Baking Powder 1 tablespoon
- Breadcrumbs 0 oz
- Butter 0 oz
- Vegetable Oil 0 fl oz
- Salt to taste
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Finely shred the cabbage, sprinkle with salt, mix well, and massage with your hands to release the juices.
Step 2
In a skillet, heat vegetable oil and sauté the finely chopped onion until it becomes translucent.
Step 3
Add the cabbage to the skillet and sauté for 7–10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then add the chopped green onions and remove from heat.
Step 4
Whisk the eggs, then add the sour cream, flour, baking powder, and half a teaspoon of salt. Mix until smooth.
Step 5
Grease a heatproof dish with butter, sprinkle the bottom with breadcrumbs (they will absorb excess moisture), layer the cabbage, and pour the batter over it, spreading it evenly across the surface. Bake in an oven preheated to 375°F for 40 minutes.
