Description
Perfect as a snack, light meal, or decoration for a festive table. You can use different types of cabbage. If you choose Napa cabbage, you can reduce or skip the cooking time accordingly. Enjoy your meal!
Ingredients
- White Cabbage 20 oz
- Wheat Flour 5 oz
- Chicken Eggs 3 pieces
- Sugar 1 teaspoon
- Salt 1 teaspoon
- Olive Oil 1 tablespoon
- Ground Black Pepper to taste
- Onion 1 piece
- Garlic to taste
- Baking Powder 1½ teaspoons
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1
Shred the cabbage, sprinkle with salt, massage it, and sauté in a pan with finely chopped onion, covered, for about 15 minutes. If you like it spicier, you can add chili pepper, garlic, etc.
Step 2
Beat the eggs with salt and sugar, then add the flour and baking powder.
Step 3
Mix the cabbage with the batter and place it in a greased baking dish. Bake in the oven at 190–210°C for 35–40 minutes (ovens vary), until golden brown. If you sprinkle grated cheese on top 10 minutes before it's done, it will be even tastier (I made it without cheese for a more diet-friendly option)!!!
